Tennessee Republicans introduced two new bills to protect innocents against mutilation, and expose them to sexualized public performances. Matt Walsh, a conservative columnist, said that one of the bills was drafted by him. “We’re taking offense here.”

“Protecting Children from Gender Mutilation Act”

This week, Tennessee Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson (R-Franklin) and state House Majority Leader William Lamberth (R-Portland) — both newly reelected — introduced Senate / House Bill 1, entitled “Protecting Children from Gender Mutilation Act.”

Johnson’s campaign pledge to “preserve Tennessee conservative value” was carried out by the bill. It would ban “medical procedures to alter a child’s hormone balance, remove a child’s sexual organs or otherwise modify a person’s appearance,” in order to allow the “minor to identify with, live as, or act like, a false identity that is inconsistent with his sex.”

These medical procedures and treatments were deemed harmful by the bill because they could “lead the minor to becoming irreversibly sterilized, having an increased risk of disease or illness, or suffer from adverse and sometimes fatal psychological effects.”
