Just a few minutes before Bud Light was engulfed by Dylan Mulvaney, the vice president of the beer company stressed the need for Bud Light to move beyond its “out-of-touch” frat boy image and embrace “inclusivity”.

Alissa Heinerscheid, self-described “first female to lead largest beer brand in the sector,” shared her disgust for Bud Light’s old frat boy image on a recent podcast.

Heinerscheid said Bud Light was a brand that is “in decline for quite a while” in the March 23 episode on the “Make Yourself at Home Podcast.”

Heinerscheid spoke out about Bud Light, the most-loved beer brand in America according to a 2019 report. He said, “And we don’t attract young drinkers, then there won’t be a future for Bud Light.”

Heinerscheid stressed that Bud Light must be “evolved and elevated”.

What does it mean to evolve and raise? It means inclusivity,” Heinerscheid declared. It’s about changing the tone. It means having a campaign that’s truly inclusive and feels lighter and brighter and different. This appeals both to women and men. The heart of revolution is represented by representation.
