Mick Mulvaney, the White House acting chief of staff, criticized his former boss on Tuesday, calling him “the only Republican who can lose.”
Mulvaney: What was his message?
Mulvaney, in reaction to Trump’s official 2024 campaign announcements, stated that Trump’s candidacy was not good for Republican Party.
Mulvaney on CNN stated that he believes he is the only Republican that could lose.
He predicts that Trump will likely be the Republican nomination because Trump’s hardcore supporters will push Trump over the finish line under the winner-takes-all primary system.
Mulvaney said that Trump will eventually distract voters from the mess of Joe Biden’s presidency and help Democrats retain control of the White House.
“That means that the race for 2024 is not about Joe Biden, or any Democrat on the ticket, but about inflation, world events, and not about abortion. Mulvaney stated that it will be Donald Trump. This is the same thing as in 2020.
“No one voted Joe Biden. Everyone voted for Donald Trump. It was a referendum against him. He continued, “And that’s where we’re heading in 2024.” “I don’t see how the outcome will be different in two years’ time from what it was two years ago.”
