Surveillance video captures moment a California teenager violently steals puppy

Surveillance video recorded the moment that a California teenager violently stole a puppy belonging to a woman.

Bell Gardens, Los Angeles, captured a dog theft around 12:30 p.m. Jan. 30,

A teen from California entered the Planet Pet Shop in Bell Gardens and stole a dog out of a cage. The pet shop owner chased the girl as she ran out of the store.

The pet shop owner – Rosa Muñoz – caught up with the thieving teen. But the teen didn’t give up. She began to swing her fists and pepper spray the woman twice in the face.

The puppy thief is seen on surveillance video throwing Muñoz to the pavement. Muñoz suffered a broken hand during the physical altercation.

Video captures a witness avoiding conflict by casually walking past the confrontation.

Baby Moon, a Maltipoo puppy named Baby Moon was stolen by the puppy-snatcher. Before the animal was taken, the puppy was already sick.

The dog was returned to the store several days later after the puppy robbery. One pedestrian saw Baby Moon in a shoebox at Planet Pet Shop.

Muñoz’s son, Jesse Robles, said, “They told me that was my dog outside and when I went to check the shoe box, it was.”

He stated that Baby Moon was alive for many days.
