According to a report from a watchdog organization, assaults on Jewish identity are on the rise at colleges all across America. It was found that assaults on Jewish students doubled between 2021 and 2022, with a particular focus on Jewish student-oriented campuses.

There were 254 attacks on 63 different college campuses with large Jewish populations, with Harvard University, the University of Chicago, Tufts University, UCLA, and Rutgers University having the highest number of incidents, according to a report by the AMCHA Initiative, a Jewish advocacy group that says its findings expose an “insidious,” never-before-revealed campus trend.

While some other organizations, such as Anti-Defamation League and others, have looked at whether campuses are safe for Jewish students in general, the AMCHA research is unique. It “investigated and tracked the trajectory, nature, and trajectory” of threats to Jewish student identities on U.S. campuses. The study found that there was a shocking doubling of these threats at 60 per cent of schools most loved by Jewish students. According to the report, incidents of intimidation and bullying towards Jewish students have tripled over the past year.
