
SANTA ANA, Calif.—A 38-year-old man pleaded guilty May 2 and was immediately sentenced to six months in jail for slamming a cat against the windshields of cars in Huntington Beach, killing the feline.
Beau Browning Watson has pleaded guilty for cruelty to animals as well as two counts vandalism. These are all misdemeanors. Watson accepted, over objections from prosecutors and the Orange County Superior
Court, a deal that reduced felonies into misdemeanors.
Watson received credit of 86 days spent in custody.
