According to a recent analysis by Redfin, the housing market in California has exploded.
“It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that there are virtually no homes in the [San Francisco] Bay Area that are cheaper to buy than rent,” the national real estate company reported May 19.
According to Redfin, renting in
San Jose, Calif. is 165 per cent cheaper than buying a home. This was by far the largest difference among the 50 cities included in the analysis. San Jose has a median mortgage of $11,049 per month, while the median rent is $4,176 ….
