Joe Calvello is Sen. John Fetterman’s communications director (D., Pa.). He is an ex-collegiate lacrosse player. Washington Free Beacon It has been learned.
Calvello, the taxpayer-funded spokesperson who keeps the American public informed about senator’s condition, was a UMass men’s lacrosse team member from 2011 through 2014. Calvello, a 150-pound, 5-foot-8 face-off specialist, led the Minutemen to a 7-6 record.
Why it matters: Lacrosse players are generally among America’s most hateful people and should not be trusted. Calvello’s connections to the sport and his height of six feet is a serious threat to his credibility. Fetterman’s judgement is also cast doubts.
Fetterman wouldn’t be the only one to use a disreputable person to make public statements about his mental and physical health. For example, Dr. Clifford Chen, the physician who gave Fetterman a clean bill of health several weeks before the election last November had donated tens of thousands of dollars to Fetterman and…
