Federal Bureau of Investigation will pay up to $25,000 for any information regarding the “Chesapeake Bandits”, a group that is responsible for numerous car robberies by armored vehicles.
U.S. Atty. Martin Estrada said at a news conference at the FBI’s Los Angeles headquarters in Westwood, KABC reported Saturday.
Investigators believe that the Chesapeake Bandits were able to hatch their plans from a house on Chesapeake Avenue, Los Angeles’ West Adams neighborhood.
They are alleged to have been robbing Brinks armored cars from February 2022 through February 2023 and made off with $500,000 in five armed heists.
Deneyvous Hobson (36 years old), was arrested by authorities on February 21. According to Los Angeles Times, James Russell Davis (34-year-old ringleader) is still at large. Five other suspects are also believed to be in the group.
